The san:

I will ask the san, when we may shoot the first sequence. Still wondering, if I need a permission for fiming at the roundabout.
I still try to improve the script. It's pretty good actually...

Henry: Is the average guy, who likes to do some riot sometimes, but he is very loyal to everyone he knows, even if it will put him into a lot of controvert situations.

Change is coming...

Due to the fact that my first story seemed to be to far away from feasability,
I changed my mind and I gonna make a "remake" of Ocean´s eleven - only a softer version with less extras. It´s possible to do that.
The genre will be the classic heist scenario.
Sounds will be a soundtrack (piano music) recorded by myself.
The actors will remain Oscar and Jamie. I will need two more to make the plot function.
The props
will be normal objects - nothing very special.
The locations will be the south room the bench at the roundabout and the san.

Preliminary Task II

I have worked on the preliminary task and seriously, I tried to create an interview situation.
The main Problem I had was the time factor and the camera.
I had not enough time to set everything at my pleasure and I wasn't able to find a control for the focus... Some pictures went blurry.
I developed two very simple characters without depth. One rockstar and one reporter. The engine of the story is an interview to which the star has been invited.
There was no script, no props except a sheet of paper and a pen. Very simple.
The editing was okay, I haven't problems using Adobe any longer.
This movie has no meaning. The dialogues were flat and insubstantial, but in a certain way training. The rockstar is designed as a stereotype. A guy whose ego is more important than anything else in the world, and who really doesn't care about others opinion. The reporter is the open minded, talkative guy. He is very polite and welcomes the star warmly and does some small-talk. Let's talk about details:

What am I going to do for my preliminary task?
Filming a short story and using different angles and zooms and the 160°-rule. After that I will edit that story on the computer and export it as a file.

What is my story?
A rockstar gives an interview.

Who will I use as actors?
Oscar Lyons and Jamie Paxton will help me.

Do I need props or extra items?
Yes. Only a pen and a sheet of paper, a table and two seats.

What shots do I have?
I will work with (E)CU's, MS's and some OS's.

What mood do I try to represent?
That's cracky... A preliminary task in which I prove that I'm able to use a camera and angles?

The Actor

I think I will take Oscar Lyons as Derek.
Still looking for someone who would be able to star Mcreagan...

Friday 28th of November

The next step is working on the preliminary Task.
I have chosen a story, which will be using a documentary style, combined with Pans and trackings. I want to set a part of the Intro during nighttime, because I need a exiting setting. In the first scene I will introduce Derek Tailor, who stands on a parking lot, lighted by powerful spotlights, covering everything ion white light.
In that sequence Tailor will talk about his business for approx. 30 seconds. Then he will go away into the darkness. It will be very similar to the Lord of War Intro.
The stroy is the allday life of a businessman who knows neither suavity nor respect opposite of higher positioned persons.
The plot gains tension, when a mad cinema-fan calls Derek, telling him, that he will kill him, when he dares to continue working in a way, which destroys the culture of cinema...
Extra items... Well a mobile phone, of a landline phone would be helpful. The majority of the characters in that clip will be wearing suits and ties. The prop which will be the hardest to find wil lbe a all terrain car or a Limo...
I'd like to work with 2 to 3 cameras, giving the location a certain 3-dimesionality. For tracking shots I will use a bike or somethin else making not a lot of noise.
The emotion in this movie will be surprisement and general stunning about the way of functionment of Derek and his partner McReagan. I will try to make that clip in a way, that the audience will experience that clip like a flight through a lot of different worlds.
I will use some music from mobygratis.com
